Note from the Chair: We are going to a postmark date for materials to coincide with the policies of the Certification Commission. We are also suggesting that all materials go through the U.S. Postal Service rather than overnight Fed-Ex or other carrier that requires a signature that materials have been received. Too often materials are actually delayed in getting to committee members with overnight mailings when attempts to deliver are made on Saturdays and there is no one to sign, or someone signs and the package wanders around a medical complex for several days before getting to the right person. It is incumbent on candidates to be sure the materials are post-marked by the date specified. In most cases this may be a week earlier than previously required but with advance notice it is a deadline that can be met.

BEGINNING OCTOBER 6, 2009, JIM GUNN WILL BE ON MEDICAL LEAVE THROUGH THE REST OF THE CALENDAR YEAR. DURING THAT PERIOD OF TIME CERTIFICATION INQUIRIES AND MATTERS SHOULD BE SENT TO THE REGIONAL OFFICE.
